Accelerating Impact with a Digital Platform for Project Heart
Intro
Over the last three years, iostudio has supported the non-profit agency, Project Heart, with strategy, branding, messaging, UX/UI, out-of-home marketing, guerilla marketing, and website design to increase awareness for their fundraising efforts to end congenital heart disease (CHD). Moving from a traditional research grant model to a supporter-funded model required an updated digital platform designed for clarity, conversion, and community engagement.
Challenge
Project Heart was shifting from traditional research grants to a new model funding a dedicated lab—accelerating results, reducing overhead, and giving donors a tangible cause to support. At the same time, the organization wanted to empower the CHD Warrior community with grassroots fundraising tools. To achieve both, they needed more than a website refresh: they needed a digital platform designed for clarity, conversion, and community engagement.
Solution
iostudio partnered with Project Heart to create a platform that clarified their mission, streamlined donor journeys, and enabled personal fundraising campaigns. We built tools that made donating seamless, empowered individuals to launch their own fundraisers, and automated key functions to reduce administrative overhead. Throughout, we aligned the design and messaging with Project Heart’s identity, ensuring the experience felt both fresh and authentic.
Impact
The new platform makes the mission instantly clear and the path to action simple. Donors now have an intuitive way to give or fundraise, the internal team benefits from reduced overhead, and the site is built to scale with the organization’s growth.
